And Redmi series is an online market centric series and Mi series is an offline centric series of Xiaomi.
Recently the Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun, confirms Redmi will be a separate brand. The reason got behind that is Xiaomi want to concentrate more on Mi series. Mi series is a Premier of Flagship grade series of Xiaomi. Xiaomi launching great smartphones under Mi series like Mi Mix series, Mi Max series, etc. Let's see in future which devices are going to launch Xiaomi under Mi series and What will be the price? Because Mi series price is premier than Poco series and Redmi series.
Poco is an affordable premier series, Mi is premier series but Nowadays Mi smartphones prices are the higher than Poco and Redmi series, and last Redmi is budget-centric smartphones series. We all know before that many brands did similar separation in the market. The Honor is separated brand of Huawei. Again Honor is Online centric smartphones and Huawei has Offline centric smartphones. Honor giving a good competition to Redmi in the price segment. Redmi and Honor both brands are launching their smartphones around 10-15K price range.
The Realme is a new brand of Oppo is also doing a good job in the midrange segment. Xiaomi's Poco is also newer affordable flagship brand, they are launching their flagship smartphones under affordable price range because they using a ready setup of Xiaomi for manufacturing the smartphones. That's the main reason for new brands launching smartphones in such a chip pricing. So, smartphone brands can do anything and this decision of Xiaomi will be helpful for both brands.
The Xiaomi also gives some rumors about a new smartphone launch on 10th January. They will launch a Redmi smartphone with a 48 MP rear camera. It is actually a piece of shocking news because in Redmi series can we imagine 48 MP camera. Let's see what will be happened. The 48 MP is only one rear camera or a 48 MP is a part of Triple camera. I don't get much more rumors about this news.
