Nowadays, there are so many DTH distributors like Tata Sky, Dish TV, Big TV, Videocon, Airtel, Etc. and Cable distributors like Hathaway, Din available in the market. And up to 29th December 2018, they are increasing or decreasing recharges without asking customers and every DTH operators recharge plans were different. So it was quite difficult and not much transparent process for customers. They were providing different channel bouquets but nowadays these bouquets prices are expensive.
So, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) understands that major problem of DTH industries and set up some new rules, offers, and different bouquets channels. They understand customers are not watching 200-300 channels from DTH, 90% of people's are watching Max to Max only 50-60 channels of DTH. That's why TRAI took the decision.
The TRAI does so many changes in plans. First of all, they said customers can select a single channel for recharge and customers can also select full bundles of Zee, Sony, Star, Colours, etc. When we purchasing the bundles then the bundles' price gets chipper and single channel price is a little bit expensive. But they set single channel price should be less than 19₹. We can also get some discount offers on new plans. Now the single channel or bouquet price is same of all DTH and Cable operators. From now customers will not be confused about recharge plans or bouquet.
But there are some terms and conditions applied. In that, we get a basic plan or mandatory plan 100 channels space in 130₹. This 100 channels space we can fill all 100 free DD channels or we can add 74 paid channels and 26 free DD channels. But 26 DD channels are must in that 100 channels space and HD channel is considered as 2 space means in that 100 space we can add 26 free DD channels and 37 HD channels. And if we want more space then we should pay more 20₹ for extra 25 channels space. In short, we have to pay basic plan in 130₹ and except this 26 free channels, pay remaining 74 paid channels price. And on final price add 18% GST.
If you are watching limited channels then your final cost of DTH recharge will be cheaper and if you are watching many Channels then final cost of recharge will go a little bit higher. But now you will get done offers. So don't worry.

So, after 1 February 2019, we will get all plans set up on distributors website and applications. Using distributors websites and mobile applications we can select channels or different bouquets and recharge can do from these websites.
